The Suvarnabumi

The Suvarnabumi is a residential project strategically positioned within the evolving landscape of Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. The development comprises 140 units, offering a variety of living spaces, including townhouses and duplexes, to cater to diverse preferences.

Situated on a brownfield site undergoing a transformation from industrial to a high-density mixed development zone, The Suvarnabumi is designed based on the Industrialized Building System (IBS). This approach incorporates prefabricated elements like standardized walls, beams, and columns, ensuring an efficient and streamlined construction process.

The architectural design draws inspiration from the repetitive aesthetics of Art Deco skyscrapers in Manhattan. This design choice aims to create a visually distinctive form while adhering to a functional framework.

In line with the project's commitment to urban revitalization, The Suvarnabumi features active frontages along streets and pedestrian-friendly side streets. Additionally, the car park podium is discreetly integrated into the building, enhancing the overall street vista and promoting a pedestrian-friendly environment.

As part of an inclusive approach, affordable housing units seamlessly wrap around the podium car park. This design strategy aims to create an illusion of side streets and break down the scale of the development into distinct compartments, fostering a fine-grain urban fabric and promoting a sense of community.
